Over the years, the group has had different members contributing to the sound, exploring fresh ways of reinterpreting and creating new approaches to the music coming from South and Latin America.

ABOUT CONNECTING CULTURES

This concert is being presented by Music Worldwide as part of a project called Connecting Cultures. The project programme delivers a series of learning, performance and broadcast activity exploring the sacred music, rhythms and voices of different faith communities and cultures that have settled in our region.

This concert has been made possible with funding support from Arts Council England. It concludes the first steps towards presenting a larger annual World Sacred Music Festival event for Norwich which will also be funded by Arts Council England among others. Future concerts will include African, Middle Eastern, Asian and East European artists who will perform across the City.

Members of Viento Sur Ensemble have been working in Norwich on a schools outreach project with pupils from Lionwood Junior School as part of this programme. Pupils from the school will be joining the group for two songs and will be displaying their project work at the venue.
