Friday April 10th
‘The Nightshop’ EP launch
A long time coming! The band has been sitting on some of the tracks like ‘Paul Hollywood’ and ‘Scenic Route’ for a couple of years. “Although people know them through seeing us live we can’t wait for them to be released” say the group. “We’ve also been getting an awesome reception from our new song ‘Get In, Get Done, Get Out’ so it had to be on there; it has a post-punk/new wave style that suits the EP, because amongst the ‘classic indie’ sounds there are dark and spacey vibes throughout”.
The whole thing really feels like one complete body of work that should be listened to in its entirety, rather than just a collection of songs. “We were a lot more adventurous in the studio this time around”, they continue, “introducing some subtle synth parts to tracks and even creating a skit”.
The name ‘The Nightshop’ is inspired from debut single ‘Break in at the Nachtwinkel’, which finishes off the EP with a familiar bang.
Genre-fluid, brooding, alternative, electronic indie pop with guitars also.
The album ‘Mainstream Music’ is out now.
Quartet from Northamptonshire. Alternative rock, grunge, punk; inspired by Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, The Damned, etc.
