Good time all around

Though the venue was brilliant and very well organised
the whole place was too spread out not enough things to keep the kids happy at all
on the plus side the birds where amazing was disabled that there wasn't a bird of prey show
over all rubbish day for the time I was there would never pay to go again !!

some really good acts
Was supposed to be a party??? we took 4 children and they were bored after the 15 mins on the inflatable slide that was £4 per child! it's like half of the stalls/games ect just didn't turn up? I don't understand why we paid all of that money? the children had a better time in the park across from the event (if you can call it that) absolute rip off and waste of money! The tribute singers/bands from why we heard were ok but as a family we expected alot more. Wish we had just spent the money on a proper party for the children. Also I seen under 18s drinking beer and swearing ect but what I want the children to be witnessing. Won't return.
We got there, to find no fair, and a few stalls and a stage, street food? Where? Fair? Where? the only good thing there was the doughnuts and the circus tent! And the birds of prey! Really disappointed, we paid near on £40 to get in, and we had 4 very disappointed children!
Excellent groups. Amazing atmosphere. Will be back next year
Awful no atmosphere no real good stalls. Portaloos weâ??re A nightmare
Awful, not atmosphere. Portaloos weâ??re disgusting despite covid was so dirty and no decent food places.
Great to see good acts get together. Food and alcohol prices were too high and food wasnâ??t very good.
Abington park is lovely and local and great venue for Northampton live music
Well organised. Great acts. Great Atmosphere. shattered but an awesome day.
To price with food and drink
No fun fair as advertised
Enrika Misiukevicien e
awesome day and night ....Great music .....
lack of information in advance about covid safety and whether possible to leave and re-enter. as a result I listened and watched from outside the compound.
Needs more marketing, more bands so less downtime between sets. Some frustration was felt by non fee paying viewers who had a perfect view of the event from the other side of the fence but otherwise a great event in a perfect location
Not too busy so no big queues at bar Orr toilets. Quality of bands especially Spice girls and even more the ABBA tribute was excellent
Great event felt very safe searches on arrival could be improved but security around all day
around venue and disabled area very good
food and drink a little pricey to buy
fab full days entertainment
Sandra Jane Lavelle
We took our grandchildren on the Sunday and had a fantastic time they are 9 & 10 loved all the music
We would definitely go again
Good event, enjoyable nice atmosphere
Fab music, plenty of space, good atmosphere.
Toilets cleaned and restocked regularly
It was a great local day out with some fabulous tribute acts. Not as busy as anticipated but many people we spoke to, didn't even know it was on. Poorly advertised. Good food and drink options, clean toilet facilities. Did say fair rides, but there weren't any of those.
Price to get in was great but prices for everything else for kids really added up.
Saturday eve bands were brilliant... especially the special/madness and Queen tributes. Alcohol prices a bit expensive. Would have liked some vegetarian food stalls too. Great night overall.
Would have liked more choice of food and drink vendors.
Enjoyed Saturday so much that I took my Grandaughters on the Sunday
Very enjoyable day.
Really enjoyable, family day out.
Brilliant event! All the tribute bands were awesome. Very well managed and organised with lots of toilets and facilities, bar and food choices. Great value for money too. Would definitely go again, we had a fab day:night!
It was a great event for the first year. As a family we found food and drink prices reasonable, but would have liked a little more choice.
I feel more advertising for the event would have helped fill the area, which would help to make the atmosphere more exciting for everyone.
Ticket prices were perfect, but maybe online tickets or pre bought tickets could have been a little cheaper than gate prices, as we could have saved ourselves a few pence by buying on the gate without the booking fee.
Looking forward to following years.
Mrs Teresa Buswell
We had a great time. Would go again next year
A brilliant event suitable for families and adults alike,, fantastic value for money, friendly and plentiful staff, no silly rip-off prices. Will go to both days next year!!
Brilliant event, only missing a bit of sunshine to make it perfect.
excellent value for money enjoyed every band apart from the specials
Not enough trade stands
Great fun for all the family. Had a great time.
Lots of space for people to spread out. Security staff were polite and friendly. A good selection of food available with the prices being slightly higher than shop prices but not extortionate (which is normally the case at these events). A few things for children to do but maybe a couple more crafting activities would not go a miss. It was good to see families attending with various age members and a few well behaved dogs with them. Plenty of toilet facilities and they were well stocked and reasonably clean considering the usage.
My only negative thought that was the music being played in between bands could have been slightly quieter so that you could hold a conversation and hear your friends talking. We all felt like we were shouting and not really being heard.
I feel that the advertising for the event was minimal and even after booking tickets through a friends link, I did not see anything to do with the event online or posted about.
Really great time
Great day out
Not very well advertised nearly everyone we spoke to saying we were going did not know about it. So the event was not very busy for such a large area fenced of so not much atmosphere such a shame for the organisers. Also the cold night did not help many leaving before the end
It was a fantastic day I have two disabled children I like to take them to these type off family events and the lady who was security couldn’t do enough to help got us into the disabled bit so we were very close to the stage which was great the atmosphere was brilliant everybody enjoying themselves the weather wasn’t great but at least it didn’t rain can’t wait to come to another party in the park well done to everyone involved it was a great day out we came from leighton buzzard
No enough entertainment for children.
The whole event was too expensive for what it was.
The pappet show was great .
Ok under the circumstances but not great.
Definite lack of other entertainment
Music was fantastic, price of tickets were good value for the 3hrs entertainment we saw. Abba Magic were brilliant.
I probably wouldn't have paid more though for the family's tickets, I think they were spot on.
Shame there was only one fair ground ride to keep young kids entertained, especially as it was cold weather. Why not have half-dozen fairground rides up until the last act?
We did not go for the Saturday or early Sunday, but felt for a 'big town' the numbers were low, perhaps other bands appeal in the day (we went for Abba Magic), indifferent weather too may not have helped.
Friendly, spacious, fun, well organised. A safe place to go with the family and friends. Just brilliant!!
Over promised and underdelivered. Claimed there would be a funfair opposite the event - there wasn't. Bar prices were extortionate, really overpriced for off-brand lager and cider. Claimed it was a family fun day - other than the music and the usual burger bars etc there was pretty much nothing else.
MR STEPHEN LONGRIGG
Queen tribute did not deserve top billing. Oasis tribute very good. Other bands only average, still, it was only £10 a ticket. Not enough privacy - people standing outside the fence enjoying the music for free!
It was good fun but another activity for the kids would have been good.
Great day had by us all. Tribute bands were great (occasionally difficult to hear as sound system was having problems) but didn’t effect our enjoyment. Security staff were very pleasant and friendly and informed us of where to go and that we could come in and out at any time.
Will definitely book again next year (hoping it’ll be on again )
S*******Kind of Madness were great.
Beer in the bar was watered down and pricey, but good atmosphere....
Had a great timealthough the food and drink were rather expensive
No fun fair as advertised.
Very good, hope they do it again next year.
Really good family day out , enjoyed by all.
Not enough food stalls or other entertainment
A great day out, in an amazing park for music.
Couldn’t find any information about terms and conditions.
We turned up and saw people bringing in their own food abd drinks as well as dogs.
I tried to look it up beforehand but no joy
Great night - tribute bands were excellent & fair price to get in. Drinks were a little pricey but would still recommend & please do again next year.
Had a brilliant day, bands were excellent on the Saturday.
Beautiful weather - lots of space - great day
Not many people there and also wished we’d saved £25 by sitting outside the perimeter fence like many other people getting the same view and sound
Would have been nice to have more stalls and things for kids to do. It wasn’t as exciting as the advertisement said.
Great day out, good bands
Great family day out.
Great music at Party in the Park on Saturday, good vibe and well organised
the no alcohol policy was ridiculous as there was a bar inside selling at extortionate prices ,the catering was a bit pricey also nearly £15 for 3portions of chips I cannot fault the quality of the acts as they were all amazing just a shame about the weather on sunday as it was very cold ant with that part of the park being so open it made it worse
Dead atmosphere no stalls or limited food and drink or other entertainment
First time at Party In The Park Northampton. A fun evening and plenty of space. The only slight negative was it was not very clear what could be taken into the venue so we had to leave glass bottles at security - no biggie but it would have helped to have this issue identified more prominently on the website or tickets.
Was a brilliant weekend definitely will be booking again as you did all sorts music for young and older people
We went on the Saturday as the music line up was brilliant. We really enjoyed it and would love the same bands to return!
Maybe next time one or two more distractions for the kids.
Good party vibe
Oana Tania Croitoru
Nice event.Good music .
A great weekend. Artists good and engaged the crowd. Organisation good and plenty of clean toilets.
Great friendly atmosphere
Absolutely brilliant time, acts we're brilliant, all very organized,.
Maybe times between acts could be improved, but loads to do.
Also finished quite late for the time of year, it's freezing by the time the last act comes on
Good range of entertainment and good value. It would have been helpful to have more information about timings.
It was a great weekend. The bands were excellent. Loved being able to have a dance with family & friends. Hope we can do it all again next year.
Had a great time, family friendly and extremely well organised. Please come again to our park
Great event, family orientated and able to take own picnic and soft drinks made this affordable for mist families. We'll done
Jessica Elizabeth Barnes
Was a great day. Enjoyed it all. I think it could have been adverted more as a lot of my friends didn’t realise it was on when I posted on Facebook
Hardly anything for the children thought there would of been more. Face painting etc closed too early
No info prior to event I.e. alcohol rules
Same acts just different dress
Not enough food variation
High price of drinks
Had a great time. Livened up during early evening, everyone upp dancing! Fantastic!
We went on the Saturday but only stayed for the first 3 groups,as after almost 6 hours the kids had seen enough. The acts definitely seemed to get better as the afternoon went on,the jam tribute group sounded very realistic.
The venue was easily accessible for us and I was happy with what I paid for 5 of us to have a long afternoon out.
I’ve given the atmosphere 3 stars because it seemed very flat and I felt people weren’t very appreciative of the bands, maybe it livened up later with more alcohol consumed?!
I do hope this becomes an annual event as I’d definitely go again
Tribute bands were great, and the atmosphere was brilliant.
Good fun, relaxed atmosphere
It hadn't been advertised so hardly anyone there. Not enough entertainment for the mo s either. I felt sorry for the stall holders that did pay for a stall. They wouldn't have made any money
Very good family day great music and attractions ??
Great day out. This is what Northampton needs. Was a little pricey for food and drinks. Not affordable for those with children, however had so much fun
Great event and particularly enjoyed the Madness tribute who I thought were better than the real band (when they played @ Saints) as they largely stuck to the classics. Specials were also very good performers. Toilets very clean which makes a big difference on a day out and the bar was well managed.
Great to see the Town making an effort to kick the social scene into gear and just a shame the town people don't better support these things - use it or lose it :-)
Let's have some more please.
The event was good but there wasn't many activities for young children and the face painting closed too early.
Disappointed to be told on the gate that no alcohol allowed. Could not find this rule anywhere on the Facebook ads or in the t&c’s. The bar had one below average lager and one below average white wine. No Prosecco either.
Absolutely brilliant day out for all
Good location, free parking too. Most acts very good (The Cheetles were rubbish). Would go to next years event if similar
Such a fab, family friendly event.
Great day out nice to hear live music again. Good line up for my age group .beer prices to high . Hopefully your on again in Northampton
great day out, the tribute bands were great, plenty of loos. more places to eat would have been nice. shame it was not better attended, I guess there were lots going over the bank holiday in other areas of Northampton
Had an absolutely awesome time at Party in the Park 2021 Northampton. Our first Party in the park and wow what can I say "Amazeballs" will definitely be back next year.
We went on Saturday and really enjoyed the event. It was well organised and family friendly. All the tribute bands were amazing! Only complaint would be lack of food on offer for vegetarians and vegans (only option was chips!) You can take your own food into the venue though
A good day, some of the tribute bands weren't great, but they played the hits so you could sing along. Venue was good and parking was free which was a bonus. £10 a ticket for all day music was cheap but not being allowed to take alcohol in meant it could still be an expensive day. Shame it wasn't busier but it was the first one and with the current Covid situation, it was great to have the event. Here's to next year
Loved it would like more events like this in Northampton
Friendly , chilled atmosphere
Good day out , although rhe weather was pretty cold and cloudy. The groups were all good . The specials madness act was very good. There were plenty of toilets and very clean. Amoung other things the kids could visit the circus tent and see a Punch and Judy show and there were plenty of food stalls. Crowd not that big. but enough for an atmosphere and it was the first one. I would definately go again. if it is on next year . Pete.
Music was great. Drink tent...items was expensive.
Could do with stalls.
Toilets... plenty of them and were clean.
Went on the Saturday. Good venue. Brilliant atmosphere. Everyone of all ages having a good time. Could not fault the day.
