Jay Johnson Live @The Rigger on Friday 17th March 2023
Jay Johnson and his band return to The Rigger, performing new songs, old songs, songs you might have heard, songs you probably won't have, songs you'll hopefully like, but most importantly, songs you'll hopefully not dislike. Songs, there's going to be songs. They're going to sound like what you get when you cross Frank Turner's energy from his rock roots, Damien Rice's depressingly beautiful lyrics, and John Mayer's guitar-led pop tunes. Mashed through a blender to become a piece not quite bigger than the sum of its parts, but something it can call its own in a somewhat satisfying way.
Supporting are CLKWRK, taking their fresh approach on Blues rock with an electronica twist in their first ever acoustic show.
Opening is Charlotte Bettson - Charlotte Bettson is an indie poppy singer songwriter who has recently released a new single called ‘Home’ which is about not knowing where you’re headed but having hope and faith that you will find somewhere that feels like home. It’s available to listen to on all your music platforms.
