Christmas pop-up bar Miracle on Grey Street is nestled in the heart of Newcastle’s city centre. Its aim is simple – to spread Christmas cheer by serving cocktails in a venue strewn with Christmas decorations, conviviality and festive music.

Quirky, innovative alcoholic tea brand NOVELTEA has been on the menu since Miracle on Grey Street opened on 15th November and 1st December’s Christmas TEACOVER will see an explosion of all things NOVELTEA in a celebration of craftmanship and tea mixology, as well as offering a tasty alternative Christmas tipple to the usual mulled wine or cider.

Meet the NOVELTEAM in person, in particular, co-founder Vincent Efferoth, who will be in attendance in his customary British tweed following a dramatic appearance on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den earlier this month.

While you can already buy NOVELTEA Tales from Miracle on Grey Street, a special menu of new NOVELTEA-based cocktails has been created specifically for the Christmas TEACOVER and comprises both refreshing cool drinks and warming tipples. Taking inspiration from Christmas itself, the cocktails are:
• Winter Mojito – NOVELTEA’s seasonal twist on the classic Mojito combines The Tale of Tangier, mint, lemon juice and Spanish Liquor
• Gobble Till You Wobble – A warming cocktail featuring The Tale of Oolong and served on a bed of redcurrant jam, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice and a sprinkle of sugar
• Lady Grey Sour – Paying tribute to Newcastle and Earl Grey, this refreshing cocktail blends sweet and sour flavours with The Tale of Earl Grey, lemon juice, egg white and sugar syrup

Of course, all of the NOVELTEA Tales will be on the menu either on the rocks or mulled. And if you needed any further incentive to visit on 1st December, all NOVELTEA drinks will be on sale at the special rate of £5.95 (usual price £8.95).
