Ape-X 10th Birthday - Paul Woolford & Cedric Maison #10Years on Friday 19th January 2018
At the beginning of 2018 we turn 10 years old. We've got two really special parties planned to mark the occasion and we're going to be revealing who we have booked for both in good time.
Part one will be taking place at our spiritual home of Cosmic Ballroom for an intimate affair with party hats, cake and a soundtrack from our two favourite DJ's.
This one is a straight family affair. It just so happens these two DJ's we class as family are some of the best in the world.
We're not going to sit here and say 'Oh what a year Paul has had' as every single year he comes back with something that makes the entire world of house and techno sit up, take notice, and immediately try to emulate. This is his 6th appearance at Ape-X and definitely not his last. One of the finest DJ's in the world, not to mention anything Special Request or Bobby Peru. An extended set from Paul in Cosmic seems like the only way to celebrate our birthday.
We've also got Hypercolour/ Glass Table boss Cedric Maison coming back for his 4th appearance at Ape-X. We've had a long friendship with Jamie since he first came to Newcastle partly because he's downright hilarious, but he just so happens to be one of the most knowledgable and skilled selectors around. Nothing but rave reviews from Gottwood Festival where Hypercolour hosts a stage every year and praise from everyone in the industry, from Seth Troxler to Eats Everything.
A host of friends and family join the bill, to wear party hats into the early hours and celebrate 10 years of the Ape.
Music Genres: Acid House, Deep/Soulful House, House, Jungle, Techno
