Oye Santana on Friday 20th September 2019

Oye Santana's Woodstock 50th Anniversary tour. Celebrating 50 years since Santana's electrifying performance at Woodstock catapulted them into stardom, Oye Santana, UK No.1 Winner at the 2018 National Tribute Music Awards, brings a show stacked with five decades of hits – including the multi-million seller Smooth, Black Magic Woman, Samba Pa Ti, Maria Maria, Oye Como Va, Corazón Espinado and She’s Not There – all played with power, passion and perfection.

Oye Santana is no mere tribute band – it's a full-on show, full of music, movement and colour, and guaranteed to have your foot tapping from the first chink of a tambourine to the explosive finale.

Of course there's the signature Santana sound – 'the first thing that really appealed to me about Carlos Santana was his tone,' says Oye Santana founder Milan Webb – and there are the hits played exactly the way the audience knows and loves them. Authenticity is just the start, though. There’s the passion. And the good-time feel. That’s where Oye Santana stamps itself as a must-see act.

Here’s John Hancock, reviewing Oye Santana for the St Ives Times & Echo: “Yes, they faultlessly reproduced the music; they are accomplished musicians in their own rights. But more than that, they conjured up the atmosphere, the sheer hedonistic abandon to rhythm that lifts Santana from music to passionate maelstrom. This was no pale 'photocopy' of another band …they build a stunning performance.”

And from Mike Swift, in the Reading Chronicle: “…'fantastic' covers it I think. The band played an amazing set…”

That set runs the gamut from early favourites including Jingo and Soul Sacrifice right up to the modern-day hits in a can't-stop-watching stage performance driven by infectious rhythms and a feast of musical talent.

Come and see (and hear) it for yourself. They’ll have you singing along, smiling along and dancing in the aisles. You’re going to love Oye Santana.
