Entertainer, technical craftsman, lifelong student of drum & bass, meticulous grafter; A.M.C represents and embodies just what it takes to operate in the DJ premiership in the 2020s.

Three-times Best DJ winner in the Drum & Bass Arena Awards 2019-2021, renowned for his razor-sharp, four-deck performances and physical, impassioned mixing style; Alex Mark Calvert has invested every living, breathing moment of his focus, attention and appetite into drum & bass since his teens to become one of the most influential and highly respected artists in his field.

Part of the last generation of DJs to graduate from original dubplate culture, and famed for his ability to tell sonic stories and connect myriad dots across the last 30 years of UK jungle and drum & bass, Alex’s fusion of foundational roots and futuristic sounds resonates across the drum & bass movement’s many generations and territories.

A DJ who can sell-outa North American tour just as quickly as he can sell-out London venues like Fabric room one and E1, or full tours of New Zealand and Australia, his ‘people’s champion’ reputation transcends boundaries and borders, leading to a phenomenal international popularity across the global D&B scene. With both of his albums–‘Energy’ (2019)and ‘Void’ (2021)–boasting millions of streams on Spotify, and releases on distinguished labels such as Ram Records, Monstercat, UKF, Drum & Bass Arena, Charge, Dim Mak, Blackout, Eat brain and Low Down Deep(to name a few) Alex has translated his unique DJ vocabulary in the studio to become just as respected as a producer.
