About

It’s Big Mouth’s legendary New Year’s Eve party at Jury’s Inn and New Year wouldn’t be New Year without the madness of MC Matt Reed!

Martin ‘once seen never forgotten’ Mor is a bearded behemoth of a comedian. Born into a circus family, he spent his early career as a juggler, unicyclist, knife thrower, fire-eater, and magician before turning to stand-up.

With over 30 years experience as a professional performer, Martin has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular and in-demand comedians.

Very much the comedian’s comedian, Martin has been the support act of choice for; Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and even Tina Turner!

Martin’s photograph is even featured on the popular board game Trivial Pursuit, (The Genus Edition) where on an arts entertainments square, he is seen wearing a leotard!

“Martin is the act that has influenced me the most.. the UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him” Frankie Boyle

“A very funny lad..with the best beard in the business!” Johnny Vegas

“Extremely funny.” Peter Kay

Down to earth and very, very funny… Friendly and enthusiastic, Sam Avery’s observational style instantly puts audiences at ease allowing him to weave his tales of everyday life around them. Sam has gained a reputation for being able to spark life into the dullest of rooms with his warm, infectious humour and quick wit.

His first book “Confessions of a Learner Parent” has been flying off the shelves, as his opening line is..’I always wanted kids – but then again, I always wanted a loft conversion. Both are pretty easy to put off as they’re very expensive and tend to wreck your house.’

In his award winning blog he shares all the lows, highs and hilarious in-betweens of his experiences of first-time parenthood in this, his highly anticipated first book.

“A gifted story-teller…absorbing, very funny and one hell of a tale to tell” The List

If Stewart Lee, Jack Dee and Morrissey ever had a child together then Liam Pickford is who they would call son. Liam started performing stand up in Manchester in June 2012. His unique style is a breath of fresh air to the circuit with Liam has crafted his own unique brand of stand up, mixing cleverly honed material and punchlines with excitingly unpredictable audience interaction. All this, mixed in with a hint of ‘whimsy’ and clever observations whilst delivered in a wonderfully unenthusiastic and grumpy style. Liam has become a circuit favourite and is destined for big things.

We’ll be serving up our proper old school pie n peas and with a disco till late, it’s the perfect way to see in the New Year. This is always a sell-out, so don’t leave it too late to book tickets!

Unreserved seating /18+/ not for the easily offended / line ups subject to change
