The Comedy Club Presents 3 Top Comedians as Seen on TV

The Comedy Club Chatham on Friday 29th June 2018

Host Comedian – Simon Clayton

“Very skilful stand up” – Time Out

North Londoner Simon Clayton's subject matter is simple - it involves being fat, mixed race, married, balding because that is what he is, and anything else that currently makes him laugh. Although not necessarily in that order.

A popular performer up and down the country, lad’s bible Loaded once famously described him as ''like a bottle of HP sauce - fat, brown and fruity!''

Opening Comedian – Peter Brush

‘unique observations and connections that stand-ups crave’ – The Guardian

A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion.

Peter has been a finalist in a variety of local and national comedy competitions including the BBC New Comedy Award 2013, as well as winning the Harrogate Comedian of the Year 2012. He has also written for BBC Radio 4’s ‘The News Quiz’, ‘The Show What You Wrote’ and ‘Newsjack’, and supported Arthur Smith during his 2013 tour.

In 2015 he performed his debut solo hour ‘Older Than The Oldest Dog That Ever Lived’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving 4*+ reviews. That year he also performed as part of the prestigious ‘Big Value’ showcase run by Just The Tonic.

Closing Comedian – Rudi Lickwood

Comic Relief 2013 (BBC), Show Me The Funny (ITV), MTV After-party Host, Funny Business Judge (BBC3), Banged Up Stand-up (BBC3), The Stand-up Show (ITV)

As the top black comedian on the UK comedy circuit, Rudi Lickwood is far more than just a stand-up. Rudi’s recent achievements including earning his status in the ‘Black 100+’ awards for the greatest Black British Achievers, picking up a BECA award for outstanding contribution to comedy, and taking up a high profile request for Rudi to host an exclusive Brit Awards after-show party. With a super confident playful personality oozing charisma, Rudi’s infectious charm has made him a desirable commodity and a huge act on the UK comedy circuit.
