Love Dose Records - Manchester Takeover - Easter Thursday on Thursday 18th April 2019

With the recent unusual emergence of the winter sun rearing its forgotten head over the towers and yards of Manchester, comes an air of optimism and anticipation of better times ahead.

That being said- here’s something to get really excited about. The Love Dose Easter party. A nice old fashioned knees up, spread across 3 of our favourite venues - Stage & Radio, Hidden and the White Hotel- over 18 hours. After all; Spring is nature’s way of saying ‘Let’s ‘av it!’

In easily our most ambitious lineup to date we are presenting an eclectic array of electronic djs and live acts.

Flying in from Stockholm is the ever eccentric, undoubtable maestro Baba Stiltz. Fresh off the back of an absolutely sublime EP on XL Recordings, and an array of releases on Studio Barnhus; which neither take themselves seriously nor pretend to, and which confidently scream a massive fuck you to any genre restrictions. The man is a maverick...

Playing their first UK live gig is Rabbithole. A perfect amalgamation of pop and the underground, this electronic act made up of 3 vocalists and one superproducer are all set to take the world of music by storm. Lead singer Adio Marchant from Bipolar Sunshine fame brings an elegantly soulful edge to their electronic backdrop.

Next up is veteran producer and selector Cottam. He’s released on Aus Music and FCR as well as several glorious productions on his own imprint. His productions are often dance floor focused reworks of soul and hip hop records which lend themselves perfectly to Love Dose.

Playing back to back are two lads who have become integral to the Manchester music scene, even though they both originally hail from the other side of the Pennines.
The man behind the prodigious mid 90s Electric Chair and more latterly Homoelectric, Luke Unabomber’s adoration of music and club culture is palpable. He goes back to back with Back to Basics and Bugged Out legend, a man who is making his fourth Love Dose appearance, James ‘Boggy’ Holroyd. We think this pairing is going to be top.

Joining these distinguished guests are Love Dose residents Kerouac, Efenar and Josimar, as well as label artists Bail, Demetae, Bobby Ganoush, Laura Jackson and Moss Man. Coming over from Leeds is True Love boss Elliot Holt and coming up from Stoke is Jack Barnett fresh off the back of warming up for Amelia Lens.

See you on the dancefloorssss!
