Agora on Friday 21st October 2022

With funding from Arts Council England, Agora is a project aimed at encouraging collaboration from artists within different scenes across the UK to create an eclectic night of genre bending music.

This AGORA will feature:

Paltin

The Manchester-based trio combining modular synthesis and electronic influences with the performance and musicality of jazz. Taking inspiration from the complex rhythms found in Eastern European folklore and impressionist harmony this project incorporates modular synths, samples, foley and piano into a live fusion of electronic music and improvisation. On top of composing his own music for Paltin, Liviu has contributed to releases and live performances of acts such as Matthew Halsall, Shunya, Hunrosa, and Werkha.

Caitlin LM

An electronic songwriter and producer from Manchester. Her ethereal vocals and
pulsating synths form a sense of groundedness and optimism, providing solace after a period
of grief, instability, and upheaval.
Taking inspiration from Björk, James Blake and Thom Yorke, her music flows from
vulnerability to defiance, breathing visceral authenticity.

Meduulla

Meduulla is a 23 year old Mancunian rapper who is paving her way into the UK rap scene. Having written poetry since the age of 13, she prides herself on her whitty lyricsim and wordplay, and takes great inspiration from artists such as Lauryn Hill, Noname and Kendrick Lamer. Her experience as a Queer, Zimbabwean migrant in a male dominated field gives her music a unique perspective that epitomises unapologetically carving out spaces for yourself in places others might consider impossible.

Music Genres:

Alternative, Electronic, Jazz, R&B, Rap
