Ordinary Friends presents Gideön [NYC Downlow] on Friday 15th September 2017

For our next soirée, we are honoured to welcome Gideön to The White Hotel, the man best known as the musical and artistic director behind the infamous Block9 area at Glastonbury. An incredible DJ in his own right, we will be bringing Gideön to the outskirts of Manchester fresh from sets at the likes of Love International, Houghton Festival, and Art’s House, and we really cannot wait for him to get behind our decks on the 15th September.

For those of you unfamiliar with Block9, it's easily the highlight of our annual team outing to Glasto. Artwork recently described it as ‘the naughty corner’, the NYC Downlow club Block9 is home to, as ‘the best club in the world’ and Gideön as a ‘sick DJ’. And we can certainly pay testament to this, with some of us lucky enough to witness a Gideön masterclass at Berlin’s Berghain | Panorama Bar back in December, followed by the whole gang laying witness to his ‘10 years of NYC Downlow set’ at Glastonbury last month. Off the back of those sets, it was apparent who we had to invite down to The White Hotel next.

In addition to his ever-increasing reputation as an international DJ and his design work, Gideön is also the co-founder of Berlin based party Absolution and is resident at the city’s Soulhole night. He also finds time to host his own show on Soho Radio, playing host to DJs of the calibre of Seth Troxler, Prosumer, Bicep and most recently Midland.

As always you will find the unusual suspects/rabble, Milo, Siam Sean, Jacques, Dyl and Thomas, spinning edits, movers and shakers throughout the night.

+ Massive shouts to Nosebig Studio for the amazing artwork once again!
