Freak Queer Rave takes over the progress centre once for an all Day Party, joined by some of our favourite artists!!!
Manchester’s most anticipated queer rave, FREAK, embark on their biggest event yet when they take over new open-air nightclub, Progress Centre, located within a five-minute walk from Piccadilly Train station, on Saturday 20th May for a celebration of queer culture.
Set to be one of the most exciting events in the city’s social calendar this spring, FREAK presents a line-up of exceptional artists, a vogue workshop; and an after-party for those who want to keep on dancing until the early hours. The day event will kick off at 2pm until 11pm and will be immediately followed by the after-party at The Loft running until 5am. Featuring 15 hours of LGBTQIA+ talent to be showcased throughout the day and night.
Celebrating LGBTQIA+ talent and showcasing the best of FREAK queer rave, the day party will see world-class lineup plus a vogue workshop offering participants the opportunity to learn from one of the most talented and experienced vogue performers in the North West and experience some of the finest DJs on the circuit.
Since its launch back in 2019, FREAK continues creating a space that is centred around inclusion, queer energy, the love of music and providing a safe environment for expression, dance and coming together as one. The show has taken place in various locations across Manchester, and yet this May 20th FREAK will host its biggest and longest party to date.
FREAK is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees. The event will feature ambassadors from the local queer community who will be available as a point of contact for anyone who needs assistance or support throughout the day, working alongside the venue staff and security teams.
FREAK is proud to be supporting the Albert Kennedy Trust, a local LGBTQ+ charity that works to support homeless people in the community throughout the city of Manchester. The event organisers are dedicated to using their platform to raise awareness and funds for this vital cause.
