Bunkerpop with Cynthia's Periscope & Leisure Theory on Friday 27th March 2020

Please note, this event has been cancelled.

This Is Not A Cult #CULT
2019 has seen the release of Bunkerpop's self produced, kickstarter funded, debut album and a host of explosive festival slots including Hull Freedom Festival, Beat Herder Festival, Equinox Festival, Fast & Bulbous Festival & Engage For Change Festival. 2020 will see the Hull 5 piece make the journey over to play their first Manchester headline show!
Expect to see an experimental mash of energy influenced by the likes of Neu, Holy Fuck, and Talking Heads. Their live shows combine these musical charms with the excitement and visual stimuli of a Billy Graham, PFunk or Flaming Lips concert. Cult like worship is encouraged. Bunkerpop are the peoples band.....come join them.
'Invigorating and Eccentric', ' Loveable Oddballs' - Gigwise
BBC Radio Introducing 'Track(s) of the week' (Are You Ready) for Something & Kijk. 'Incredible track from Bunkerpop'. ' Everything they send is brilliant'
Support From:
Cynthia's Periscope
'A wonderful fusion of the melodic and the occasionally macabre, a tricky, trippy sound that nods towards the dancefloor but also has a cerebral, emotive and soul-purging quality to it vocally and lyrically that you don’t often come across in electronica.'
Analogue Trash
Leisure Theory
'With a range of different influences on his music, Leisure Theory aim to challenge both guitar and dance music by creating a blend of spiky, danceable, guitar electronica.' Manchester's Finest
