Funkademia at Deaf Institute with Mukes

Funkademia has been filling dance floors every Saturday night since 1995 and we are buzzing to be at our new home at the Deaf Institute.

We now have 3 floors of music for you. The music hall upstairs is classic funk, disco and soul under a massive disco ball. The boombox room is for RnB, hip hop and and party bangers, then we have a little boudoir room downstairs in the basement for anything goes including karaoke some weeks!

Mukes is set to take over the decks for a night of raw, underground energy. Known for their 'Organic Bass Events', Mukes brings a diverse range of genres, from Drum & Bass and Garage to UK Funky & Psytrance. With a deep commitment to community, the environment, and a love for heavy basslines, Mukes has made a name for themselves across Manchester’s underground scene, hosting events at iconic venues like Hidden and The DBA. This takeover promises an unforgettable night of organic energy and bass-driven sounds mixed with a heavy sprinkling of Hip Hop and RnB.
