What She Said Club on Saturday 4th June 2022
'What She Said' is opening the Summer for you in the best way we know how - by bringing a few of the best female DJs in soul, funk, & disco.
Making her Manchester debut is DJ, Producer & broadcaster DJ Emma. A regular at Glastonbury, Creamfields & Camp Bestival, DJ Emma is a master selector in all things soul, funk, boogie, disco, & house. She has her own monthly show on Brighton's 1BTN & she's one of BBC Radio Wiltshire's Friday night residents. She's supported the likes of Huey Morgan, from BBC 6 Music, on tour & was recently invited onto that same station to do a 'Trunk of Funk' mix for Craig Charles. DJ Emma is also opening for Groove Armada for the Bristol leg of their final tour so trust me when I say this, you don't want want to miss her playing live at the Carlton Club!
Supporting DJ Emma we've also booked in EDIE who is the founder of Studio Honey, which celebrates and champions female DJs. EDIE is a magician with disco and house records and knows how to keep the dance floor lively...I've been trying to book her since 2019 and I for one am excited about this one!
We've also booked in Manchester's fave local DJ Laura Jackson who we all know is a musical extraordinaire when it comes to the selection of all things funk and soul so you know it will be a brilliant set.
As always the 'She' of 'What She Said' Róis will be on hand to open things up and entice you to the dance floor with her usual genre of old school house and electro, so we certainly think this night will be lively!
It's an early show so timings will be 8pm - 1am with last entry at 10pm (this is very strict, but we advise to get there from 8pm as it starts on a high)
Following government advice you will no longer have to show a negative LFT for entry, but lets rave safe so would encourage you to take one at home anyway or if you're feeling in any way unwell, please stay home.
Music Genres: Disco, Electro House, Funk, Funky House, Nu Disco
