There aren’t many Manchester club nights that make it to 20 years! HotR is now synonymous with Carlton Club but back in 2004 it was complete novelty. It was the first DJ lead event of the modern era and the night that demonstrated that a tired, rundown social club could find new audiences. It was tough going to start with as some of the older members didn’t really get it. But we persisted, gathered a loyal community of dancers and 20 years on here we are. Back in the day the four DJs and the family and friends who pitched in to help knew they wanted to bring the city centre underground club feel to the suburbs and that ethos continues. We’ve always been about the resident DJs, going slightly under the radar but we’ve always been about great disco, house, funk and bit in between to make the dancefloor groove. On our birthday night we're joined by Take me to Church DJ Just Jane in the main room while in the Green Room Semi Peppered DJs and guests will be playing some chilled out vibes.
