Phoenix Rising on Saturday 2nd June 2018
The Phoenix on Oxford Road was one of Manchester's premier Rock clubs. Now sadly demolished. However, two original Phoenix DJ's carry the torch onwards..
'Phoenix Rising' is a bi - monthly ROCK nite. Held in the top room of The Briton's Protection. 8 - 12 pm Terry and Dave ( ex resident DJ's from The Phoenix ) play an eclectic mix of Classic Rock, Blues Rock, Hard Rock, Space Rock, 'Metal, 'Prog, etc. We play music from the mid 60's all the way up what's going on right now. We have a powerful pa system, and a cool lighting rig. Entry is just 3 quid on the top room door.
The Britons Protection is one of Manchester's oldest pubs, with loads of character, and quality cask ale on the bar. Also, a very unique selection of over 300 whiskeys.
Come along for a great nite out, with like minded folk, who enjoy drinking, chatting, and dancing to the ROCK sound track of their choice.
Music Genres: Rock
