“Multi talented DJ, producer, singer, songwriter and Controlled Substance label boss John Graham aka ‘QUIVVER’ began his production career in the early 1990s and is regarded as one the leading authorities in the progressive world today” – Christian Smith
In 2017, QUIVVER became Beatport's 3rd highest selling progressive artist of the year scoring #1 hits with 'Mumbo Jumbo' on Bedrock and with his remix of Wally Lopez's 'Sunday Trip' on Beatfreak Recordings, whilst also enjoying numerous top 10 chart hits throughout the year.
‘Mumbo Jumbo’ went on to become Beatport’s 8th highest selling progressive track of 2017 and cemented itself as Bedrock’s #1 selling single of the year.
Amidst a busy touring and production schedule, John was invited to perform vocals in Sasha's ReFracted: Live show and on his track 'Rooms', which he later remixed under his Drum & Bass alias 'Skanna'.
In December 2017 QUIVVER launched his brand new imprint 'Controlled Substance' as a way of introducing his darker, techy persona to his loyal group of fans.
The label and his first release ‘The World You Create’ was launched unannounced and hit the #3 spot in the progressive charts within a week and has remained in the top 100 ever since.
Another top 3 release ensued on Christian Smith's Tronic with “The Rat” shortly thereafter, and with releases still to come on Stil Vor Talent and Bedrock, QUIVVER eyes 2018 as his year to earn his rightful place amongst the masters of the scene.
John’s monikers over the years have included Space Manoeuvres, Stoneproof, Skanna and Tilt. Always enjoying consistent support from heavyweight DJ figures across deep house to techno and also in the drum & bass scene, he has performed at every conceivable musical hot spot around the globe and once held a coveted residency at the legendary Twilo, NYC and Avalon, L.A.
John’s music has been licensed innumerable times, but most notably to Frank Miller’s “The Spirit” and ‘CSI – NY’. And unknowingly to some: he has worked on several movies scores for hit films such as ‘The Taking of Pelham 123’, ‘Twelve’ and ‘Shrek Forever After (2010)’; plus recorded music for video game trailers such as ‘Transformers’, the ‘Call of Duty’ series and ”Batman: Arkham City Riddler.
