Alice in Wonderland - Chorlton Players on Thursday 17th - Saturday 19th January 2019

Eleven year old Alice is growing up, changing schools and thinking of leaving the magical realm of Wonderland behind her. As she returns to say goodbye, the lights start to dim, consigning her friends to a life of sadness and gloom. Under the cover of darkness, the wicked Queen of Spades emerges, steals the jam tarts from the Mad Hatter's tea party and kidnaps the Knave of Hearts. Will Alice manage to save the day before she wakes up? Or will the Queen and her evil henchmen rule over Wonderland forever? Come and find out in this year's Chorlton Players pantomime, Alice in Wonderland. Although the characters will be familiar to any fans of Lewis Carroll's enchanting stories, the new script follows a traditional good vs evil narrative as well as containing all the usual panto madness. Expect cheering, booing, singing, dancing, a Dame, some custard pie action, water pistol fights and plenty of very silly jokes, all set in a psychedelic dreamscape.
