LUMER at Soup Kitchen on Monday 18th June 2018
Warsaw Promotions presents
Emerging from the dead industrial underbelly of Hull, LUMER take jaded frustration and push it kicking and screaming into the ears of unassuming crowds. Their frenetic post-punk sound teeters on the verge of losing control, proving them a force to be witnessed.
DIY Magazine - “New cut ‘Gruel’, today’s Neu Pick, is aggressive in the extreme, with periods of forced restraint in the verses giving way to unhinged, brutal choruses. It’s a track that leaves nothing to chance.”
Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1 - ''I saw [LUMER] at the Introducing Stage in Hull (Radio One’s Big Weekend). I genuinely think they were the loudest band the whole weekend. They were loud, they were raucous and they were brilliant.’’
Fred Perry Subculture - 'LUMER have a dystopian musical aesthetic pitched perfectly somewhere between Bauhaus and Nirvana.'
So Young Magazine - 'BURN/BLEED is a stark reminder that a better tomorrow means an angrier today.'
Clash Magazine - 'Barbed wire riffs set against furious, D-Beat level drumming, the band match hardcore's uncompromising stance to a sense of sonic austerity.'
A newly formed Manchester based band bringing an eclectic mix of: post punk, shoegaze and grunge.
Music Genres: Alternative, Punk
