Filthy Tricks, Woman You Stole, Slowhandclap & Seagoth on Wednesday 11th September 2019

Petty Management presents the first showcase of acts on their roster, featuring Filthy Tricks, Woman You Stole, Slowhandclap and Seagoth.

In what will be a fortnightly event, Petty Management will be curating line ups of acts featured on their roster and bands we love at the moment. Here's who you can find at our first event on Wednesday 11th September.

Filthy Tricks are a hard hitting 5 piece indie rock and roll band from the beating industrial heart of Warrington. Originally formed back in 2016, they returned in 2018 with some new faces, sounding bigger, better and bolder and oozing rock ‘n’ roll soul that the genre desperately longs for. The band’s influences range from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, to Sly & the Family Stone and The Violent Femmes.

The band recently recorded their debut EP ‘Run The River’ at Red City Recordings in Manchester, and was released on 29th June 2019. Their first single 'Black Diamond Eyes' was released on Saturday 13th April at the launch of Warrington’s new music venue, LiveBar, and were joined by Sky Valley Mistress who described the night as “rock n roll done right.'

Woman You Stole are a three piece British alt lo-fi band formed in Manchester, influenced by Deerhoof, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The B-52s. Their self released singles 'Excuse My French' and 'Frustration' are on Spotify now.

Alternative noise rock trio SlowHandClap came about from the passion of punk and noise rock. The Manchester based band are made up by Sam Bullock - (Vocals/Guitar) Dan Coleman - (Bass) and Michael Duckworth - (Drums). The band have a love of the 90's alternative and 80's punk scene from the likes of Sonic Youth, Wire, Fugazi and Swans. They manage to control their chaotic sound and dissonant noise with rich chords, melodies and rhythmic grooves to both please and unease the listener. Their numerous releases have been played by BBC Introducing and BBC 6 music and have headlined several sold out shows across Manchester also having shared stages with acts such as Kagoule, Mugstar, Drahla, Warm Drag (Oh Sees) to name a few.

18 year old British bedroom pop singer/songwriter Georgia Ochoa has been creating music under the name Seagoth since 2015, she emerged onto the scene this year with her most recent EP 'House Party for Ghosts'. The debut album was produced by Georgia alone in her bedroom using only Garageband on her iPhone and a cheap Stratocaster. The indie/dream pop sound she exhibits has been inspired by various artists, including The Smiths, Declan Mckenna and Wallows. Georgia's existential songwriting contrasts with her sparkly synths and dreamy guitar riffs creating a sweet balance between too sad and too happy. Her lyrics touch on various meaningful topics, including firsthand experiences and current topics in the media. The track 'Cool!' was written in angst by the songwriter about the romanticisation of mental illness online and is her favourite song to play.
Doors open at 7pm. Advance tickets £4. £6 OTD.
