Beatnik Collective on Friday 16th November 2018
The Beatnik Collective are incredibly proud to bring Tristan Da Cunha and Bobby Odonnell across the Pennines to Manchester.
The Beatnik Collective is a party and movement conceived somewhere in the midst of a 5 day post-Houghton festival celebration. From a conversation discussing the wonderful, interesting people we've met in our travels from dance floor to dance floor. People that share our ethos that parties should consist of people who attend to listen to the best music in the world, talk codswallop to strangers and have nothing but unadulterated fun. So this party is a non-profit celebration designed for such like-minded individuals. Because we all deserve a fat fucking party.
If the vast majority of people walk away from a party of the caliber of Houghton Festival and name you as one of the festivals top selectors, two years on the run, then you are well and truly at the top of your game. This is the case with Tristan Da Cunha. I've been lucky enough to catch him a few times over the past year or so and trust me when i say the man is a fucking wizard. He's also a lovely geezer and we're seriously lucky to have him down.
Onto Bobby. Bobby is the chief of up and coming label E-Numbers and resident at the infamous System night in Leeds. There are few genuinely world class DJs that Bobby hasn't created a dancefloor atmosphere for under this residency, from Villalobos to his upcoming gig with Seth Troxler. However, the man is currently an absolute force to be reckoned with and take it from us, Bobby knows what a party is and should be. Keep an eye out for the upcoming release on E-numbers (ENUM001 - https://soundcloud.com/e-numbers-6804948…/sets/enum001-clips)
We will also have Beatnik founders Josh Carney (JA Carney) and Adam Foster (Freddie) laying down the usual slimness you know and tolerate us for. Josh is also a resident at North West based party Lacuna, supporting artists such as AJ Christou and James Dexter. Adam is a Manchester circuit regular and former resident and co-founder of Walk the Horse, who brought the likes of East End Dubs as he was an up and coming artist, showing his ear for talent.
We'll also have a collection of close friends and fellow enthusiasts to hold down a second room. The details on this group of reprobates will be released in due course.
As mentioned we wonm't be taking any financial gains from this party, hence why tickets are cheaper than a burger king. Any proceeds will be going towards improving the experience we provide you at any future parties and also a charity (yet to be chosen) supporting mental health aid for the youth.
We're going to be investing a great deal of time, love and effort into delivering a night that's completely different to anything you'll experience pretty much anywhere else, all we ask of you is that you come with the intention of having the best possible time, looking after one another and with an open mind and heart.
Lets 'ave it. x
