The Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra - M&P's Big Band Brunch - MJF

Join this superb 20-piece line up performing classic Big Band Jazz from the 20th Century, as well as arrangements from members of the band. Not only that; Matt & Phred’s have created a special Brunch Pizza Menu (with some extras too) for you to feast on whilst you enjoy the music!

Under-16's go free when accompanied by a paying adult, so bring along the young folks to give them a fine introduction to the world of Jazz!

The Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra began life as a rehearsal big band in Leeds, but has cemented its place as one of West Yorkshire's most celebrated large jazz ensembles.

The band started by performing at the legendary Seven Arts Christmas Concert, shortly after went on to win the prestigious Great North Big Band Competition (2016), and have moved from strength to strength ever since.

With Tom Sharp as musical director, the band plays music from all across the big band repertoire of the twentieth century, focusing on the big swingers of the 50s, as well as showcasing arrangements from members of the orchestra.

Even more exciting: for this performance, TSJO invites you to play BIG BAND BINGO with them! Pick a number between 1 and 200 (yes 200) when you arrive, and it will be entered into a draw which aligns that number with a song the band can play. That means YOU get the chance to influence a portion of the band’s setlist; and there’s some pretty fun tunes in that list of 200…

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON TICKETS, FOOD, FACILITIES, & ACCESSIBILITY***

There are 3 types of ticket available: premium stage-side seating, entrance-side seating (restricted view with TV feed), and standing, ranging from £5-10 per person.

Under-16's go free when accounted for within a paying adult's ticket (max 1 free child per 1 paying adult). If you are an adult who wants to attend with more than one under-16 year old, you can purchase an additional under-16 ticket for half price (these must be purchased at the same time as your adult tickets).

You can buy different types of tickets depending on your group. For example, if you are two adults with one child, you can buy '1 x Adult' ticket AND a '1 x Adult, and 1 x Child' ticket.

Ensure that all tickets for a party are booked under the same name, as this is what we will look at when allocating tables (where applicable).

Please note that you may be allocated a high table. If you are physically unable to be sat on a stool (with a table in front of you), please call us on 0161 273 5495 and we will do our best to accommodate.

Accessibility - there are 3 small steps to get into the venue. A ramp can be provided, however this must be prepared, so please call 0161 273 5495 if you will require it.

Toilet facilities are not on the ground floor, they are up/down stairs. There are no baby changing facilities.

Highchairs are not provided, and we ask that buggies are kept in the designated zone where possible (we're a tiny club!) - thank you!
