Down For Life Music roster artists Crushed By Waves, Two Year Break, Royals and Lightwave come to Manchester as part of the New Blood Tour 2023
Hailing from North West UK, Crushed By Waves deliver their own brand of hard-hitting, no apologies, gritty alternative rock. With several sold out hometown shows in Manchester, a run of UK shows with DFLM label mates Two Year Break, and appearances in 2023 at several festivals including Takedown, Hammerdown, and Radar Festival and winning a coveted slot at the Boardie Takeover at Download’s 20th Edition from over 500 submissions, alongside brand new music released across the summer and support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1, Crushed By Waves are hell bent on just getting their music into the faces of as many people as possible, grabbing the proverbial bull firmly by the metal horns and preparing for one hell of a ride.

Hailing from Essex UK, the 4-piece alternative pop rock outfit Two Year Break, fuelled by the undying support of their dedicated fanbase as well as some well-deserved attention from national radio and TV, are making an audible noise on the underground scene.
All 5 single releases from their debut album 'Do You Wanna Find Love?' released in October 2021 and produced by Clint Murphy (Enter Shikari, Busted, Manic Street Preachers), including 'Lovin' Every Day' featuring Charlie Simpson, saw extensive radio playlist support from Radio 1, BBC Introducing Essex, Kerrang! Radio and Triple J, with DJs raving about the band. The first single from a run of singles in 2023 has had extensive Kerrang! TV playlisting, with support from BBC Radio 1.
Notable shows to date include a second stage headline at Evoke Festival in Brentwood (Jessie J, Clean Bandit), Takedown Festival, multiple appearances at Camden Rocks (alongside artists like Twin Atlantic, Frank Turner and Deaf Havana), and direct support shows with The Kut, Hollowstar, As December Falls, and TheCityIsOurs at their sell out Camden Underworld show in April 2022. The band have also independently sold out their last 5 London headline shows, including Camden Assembly in November 2022, as well as their debut appearances in Bristol and Leeds on their ‘It Never Stops’ UK headline tour (May 2022), and 2023 appearances in Leeds, Brentwood and Chelmsford.

Royals are a 5-piece pop punk band from the sunny south coast of the UK. Drawing comparisons to the likes of State Champs and Neck Deep, their unique blend of classic pop-punk sounds and catchy hooks with synths, electronics and breakdowns is only enhanced further by their live performance and tireless stage presence, not to mention working with the scenes top producers on their music. Royals short history already includes two EP releases and punk goes pop covers amongst a plethora of singles which have all been heard by a growing platform the band have naturally developed - surpassing almost a million streams, heavy radio play, Spotify editorial playlisting and spots on several tours and shows around the UK. Alt Press named them amongst 10 rising UK pop-punk bands you need to hear, and one of 13 artists who are reclaiming the pop-punk music scene in 2021. In 2023 the band went on their first headline UK tour and were clearly in high demand with packed venues and sold out dates.

Since their inception in October 2021, Lightwave have already exploded into the alternative scene and are making some waves of their own with their own blend of infectious pop-driven bubblegum metal. Their singles 'Good Enough', 'Revive',”Grudge' (feat. Connor Hallisey of Our Hollow, Our Home) and “Fake” already racking up nearly 200k views on YouTube, with their debut EP 'Dark Cycles' released on 4th Feb 2022.
There is no signs of slowing down as the band is already back in the studio working on the follow up! With plenty of shows and tours in the works you can expect a fierce but fun live show from what has to be one of the most exciting new bands from South Coast UK.
