Stand Up Comedy for Breast Cancer Care on Saturday 17th November 2018

Join us on Saturday 17th November 2018 at LEAF on Portland Street in Manchester for a night of stand-up comedy in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

A stellar line-up of international comedians (Australia and Kent) will provide an evening of laugher with 100% of profits of the night going to Breast Cancer Care, which provides amazing support for people living with, and beyond, breast cancer. Our aim for the evening will be a total cure for the disease, with the jokes relentlessly continuing until this objective has been reached.

After winning an obscene amount of new act comedy awards over the past few years (Petfringe Comedian of the Year 2008, Nottingham Comedy Festival Act of the Year 2017, Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year 2017, Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year 2016), 2019 and beyond will see Simon switch his focus to prizes away from comedy, such as the Pulitzer, the Nobel, and Crufts.

Regarded as one of the most exciting and unique acts on the circuit, Simon is known for imaginative wordplay, delightful and surprising turn of phrase, and his wild and sometimes reckless off-stage antics.

Poet and comedian Malcolm Head is organised, happy-go-lucky, and disappointed that The Bill was cancelled. A former winner of the Pleasance Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe, Malcolm delivers laughter through low-key delivery, original thought and inspired performance.

A previous tour support for both Paul Foot and Simon Munnery, he advises you to start building a pension as early as possible.

Adding an antipodean flair to the bill is Anna Spark. As tall as she is funny, Anna is a previous winner of The Manchester Comedy Store’s infamous ‘King Gong’ competition and runs her own comedy night in an underground sex dungeon in Manchester.

A previous winner of Manchester’s ‘Beat The Frog competition, Patrick is a one-man joke maker, fun creator and dance-floor filler. Patrick has performed funny words to audiences in a variety of far-flung locations, including Warrington.

Will give it a go.

Tickets £10 in advance with 100% of profits to Breast Cancer Care. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 7:45pm. There might be a raffle and some other stuff too.
