Letting Go Of Anxiety - A Public Talk on Thursday 24th May 2018

Don't miss this opportunity to hear Kadam Morten at KMC Manchester in the city centre. After the success of last years event we are very happy that he is able to come once again and share his clear and profound understanding of Buddha’s teachings and our daily lives.

Many people suffer from feelings of fear and constant anxiety or are simply overwhelmed by the stress and demands of everyday life. In this public talk Kadam Morten will explore mindfulness methods, meditations and ways of thinking derived from Buddhas teachings that help us to become fearless in the face of adversity and deal with our negative emotions more confidently and effectively. This public talk is open to everyone and provides an insight into how we can solve our problems and find peace and happiness through transforming our mind from negative states to positive states.
Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Centre New York City. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition.

Kadam Morten met his teacher, Geshe Kelsang, while attending university in England. He taught widely throughout the UK and helped develop many Kadampa Centers in England. Kadam Morten has been teaching in the US for more than 20 years and has established centres throughout the New York area, as well as Washington DC, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. In addition to his local teaching responsibilities, he teaches and guides retreats regularly throughout the United States and Europe.

Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humour and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
