Joshua Brooks 25th Birthday w/ Daddy G (Massive Attack) on Saturday 3rd November 2018
Manchester reggae label Blood and Fire, known internationally for their work in re issuing classic Jamaican dub & roots reggae, Have joined forces with Joshua Brooks and More Bounce for the celebrations of 25 years of Joshua Brooks.
More Bounce & Dom Blood and Fire have invited the founder of Massive Attack - Daddy G to Manchester for a Joshua Brooks birthday event. The night will be filled with classic cuts of old school breaks, beats, hip hop & then an exclusive set from The Bristol Legend Daddy G.
From a very very young age Grantley Marshall A.K.A Daddy G has been deejaying and making mix tapes from as young as ten.
Later as a member of the Wild Bunch Sound System with 3D & Mushroom they would be rocking Bristol house parties and blues before recording Blue Lines as Massive Attack with the help of Neneh Cherry amongst other key people.
The cult of the personality DJ in global culture is rooted in Jamaican Sound System culture, with exclusive tracks , live microphone chat with MC's, special effects and twin decks.
The world's global music community now know Daddy G as the founder of Massive Attack,, but also as a killer DJ.
The Bristol Music scene and the UK have never been the same since Daddy G took his records to the studio and sampled them.
His eyes and ears for rocking a crowd are priceless and his set will take you on a unforgettable journey, one not to be missed!
