What to expect?

Off with Their Heads, is a queer led promoter who hosted debut Manchester shows from the likes of Grimes, Christeene, Mykki Blanco, Austra and Savages at Islington Mill in Salford, as well performances from Hunx & his Punx, SSION & JD Samson (Le Tigre) over the years.

Born out of a response to the ‘Off with Their Heads’ rallying cry that students shouted at Charles & Camilla’s car in 2010, these early shows united a youthful energy and frustration at our monarchy and government.

After a 10 year hiatus, OwTH returns to an increasingly polarised and disenfranchised world. That initial energy which sought to create a space for all, where people could protest and escape, simultaneously, in a celebratory fashion, is now more necessary than ever - from visual art installations, landmark performances, even world record breaking stunts the Greater Manchester queer scene continuously came together at landmark moments from the Queens Jubilee to the Royal Wedding and beyond. And 10 years on, we return….

Fat Out Fest returns to Salford this Halloween for another version of their collaborative celebration of experimental music and visual art. This year Fat Out’s ever morphing festival will take the form of a series of shows across venues in Salford, celebrating the queer underground through intense, experimental and downright rowdy music & performance art.
