Art Battle Manchester XVII - Break Out on Friday 4th September 2020
10 Artists to unleash their creativity to help tackle mental health issues in Manchester ...
Artists will be performing at the award-winning music and art playground in the shadow of Strangeways prison - Hidden. Artists will be encouraged to 'break out' their inner creativity in front of a live audience in the urban industrial surroundings. The offbeat event will be in partnership with Headstock Festival - The UK's biggest mental health music festival - in partnership with Help Musicians and Manchester Mind. All artwork created on the night will be auctioned to the live audience with proceeds split between the artists and Headstock Festival.
Since it started in 2013, Art Battle Manchester has delivered 17 sold-out events across the city, never using the same venue twice. They clearly have a penchant for bringing the off-beat lively event to stunning buildings, as recent venues include London Road Fire Station, Albert Hall, The Royal Exchange, Victoria Baths and an array of historic mills and warehouses.
Art Battle Manchester XVII - Break Out will feature ten new fearless artists taking centre stage. A capacity crowd will watch painters, illustrators, tattooists and street artists go head-to-head in what has been described as the city's most energetic art event. With only 30 minutes to create a masterpiece - YOU will decide who is crowned Champion.
In addition to art and music, expect some unexpected shenanigans!
Unfortunately, this venue is not wheelchair accessible.
