Art Battle Manchester XVI - Unfinished Symphony on Saturday 1st February 2020

10 Artists to compose masterpiece at the home of The Hallé Orchestra...

Artists will be performing at the stunning Hallé St Peters, a deconsecrated church, and rehearsal space for the world-renowned Hallé Orchestra. Soon to open following its £4.3m refurbishment, Hallé St Peters is at the heart of the rapidly changing Ancoats community. By the time St. Peter’s was built in 1859, Ancoats had become a bustling and overcrowded industrial suburb with a population of more than 50,000, largely made up of mill workers, drawn from the significant Irish and Italian immigrant communities. At Unfinished SYmphony, 10 fearless Artists will be doing battle in the heartland of the Scuttlers.

Since it started in 2013, Art Battle Manchester has delivered 16 sold-out events across the city, never using the same venue twice. They clearly have a penchant for bringing the off-beat lively event to stunning buildings, as recent venues include London Road Fire Station, Albert Hall, The Royal Exchange, Victoria Baths and an array of historic mills and warehouses, but never a church building... until now.

The Unfinished Symphony will feature ten new fearless artists taking centre stage. A capacity crowd will watch painters, illustrators, tattooists and street artists go head-to-head in what has been described as the city's most energetic art event. With only 30 minutes to create a masterpiece - YOU will decide who is crowned Champion.

In addition to art and music, expect some unexpected shenanigans.....

Date: Saturday 1st February 2019, 7-11pm.

Tickets on sale via Skiddle at 9am on Friday 15th November
