Overview
We close the season with a celebration of Iannis Xenakis, culminating in the work that gave the ensemble its name. ‘Psappha' is one of the defining solo percussion works of the 20th century, and this is a not-to-be-missed performance from Psappha’s founder and artistic director of 30 years, Tim Williams. Other works on the programme include Xenakis’ “Plektò” for Psappha’s core ensemble, Ailís Ní Ríain’s haunting “The Last Time I Died”, and the RNCM Gold Medal winning composition 2022, Philip Rousiamanis’ “song for a sleepless wolf child”.
