About

There's something in the air.

New Animals are bringing their signature mutligenre music, art and chaos back to the DBA. It's time to celebrate Manchester's creative soul, Summer of Love style.

In the 60s we saw the first 'Summer of Love' in San Francisco. San Francisco was a hub for free love, expression and resistance to America's brutal war in Vietnam.

The second came in 1989 in the UK. A decade of Thatcher's punitive governing saw free parties and raves peak as a resistance to the regime in the late 80s.

New Animals want to bring back the spirit of resistance through art and music.

History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme. The people will always find a way to meet each other in hard times.

Join us at the DBA to celebrate life, love and creativity on the 18th of July.
