All Things Equal on Tuesday 8th March 2022
Brighter Sound and Submerge take over Manchester’s Depot Mayfield to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022.
A large-scale, immersive audiovisual installation by artist Urban Projections (Rebecca Smith) and “genre-splicing genius of British electronic music” Loraine James marks the launch of a bold new manifesto for gender equality in music from Brighter Sound.
This free event will run till midnight with an incredible line-up of DJs including Shannen SP and Girls Don’t Sync. The installation will also feature a new spoken word commission by Princess Arinola Adegbite.
All Things Equal is a celebration of Brighter Sound’s Both Sides Now initiative, and part of Submerge Festival 2022.
Access information
- Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult
- The installation includes bright, flashing lights, lasers, smoke and loud, bass heavy music
- There will be a quieter space available if you'd like to make use of it at any point
