Achtung! Dust off your Lederhosen and assemble your strongest drinking squad, because this Autumn, we’re experiencing a slice of Germany - but with a Mancunian twist! Sampling a taste of the most exciting Bavarian extravaganza, JBM Music & Manchester Adored are teaming up to bring Munich’s famous ‘Oktoberfest’ to the North-West, across the weekend of 1st & 3rd October.
With the party staged in the iconic setting of the B.E.C Arena, beer guzzlers are invited to wrap their taste-buds around a huge varied selection of authentic German lagers, served up in traditional steins to really pack in that full flavour of all things European. With a traditional Bavarian table lay-out in place at the venue, Friday’s party will run deep into the night - finishing at 2am - with a range of live performances from several acclaimed tribute bands, including local talents impersonating Oasis, The Stone Roses, New Order, Happy Mondays, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Returning to the Arena on Sunday between 2pm-11pm, The Courteeners tribute act ‘Courtbetweeners’ will provide the BritPop anthems, alongside a special Clint Boon DJ set and a live traditional Oompah Band. With a flurry of German food markets also in attendance, tipsy attendees will be sure to cover their fingers in salty pretzels and wrap their lips around a giant bratwurst before the evening’s out.
With tickets for this one set to sell-out almost instantly due to the fun and raucous atmosphere set to be generated inside the B.E.C across the opening Octoberweekend, the race is on to grab your pass to this Autumn’s most eagerly anticipated sesh at the inaugural edition of Manctoberfest!
