POPULATION II
Population II is a Canadian psychedelic rock band from Montreal, Quebec, whose 2023 album Électrons libre du Québec was a longlisted nominee for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize.
The band consists of singer and drummer Pierre-Luc Gratton, guitarist and keyboardist Tristan Lacombe, and bassist Sébastien Provençal. After releasing several two-song singles in the late 2010s, they released their full-length debut album À la Ô Terre on Castle Face Records in 2020.
Farfisa
Farfisa have been a mainstay of Manchester’s psychedelic scene for a few years now. Their releases are an explorer's guide in modern psych music - experimenting and blending influences in cumbia, fuzz and stoner rock; showcased across a number of playlists and stations including KEXP with Marco Collins. Their impressive live performances and complex songwriting skills have seen them get selected for Tim Burgess’s stage at Kendal Calling 2024; and support a number of touring artists such as SLIFT, Frankie & The Witch Fingers, and Boogarins on two occasions. Signed with Sour Grapes Records the band have released a concept run of four sell out EP’s. After a year of writing new material, Farfisa are set to return with their debut LP “Cosmodrome” in 2025.
