Following straight on from its record-breaking seventh Castlefield event that day, FAC 51 The Hacienda returns to The Albert Hall Manchester for a special club night Saturday 8th July in its first visit to the atmospheric, converted chapel venue in some four years.
Stateside DJ legends Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry grace the decks as the two top US heavyweights head the bill and return to play for FAC51 where they have become long-term favourites.
Meanwhile, from The Hacienda side, two of the original club’s residents, Graeme Park and DJ Paulette complete an outstanding lineup in an event that also serves as the official aftershow for Hacienda Classical at Castlefield Bowl earlier in the day.
Having recently returned to play regularly for The Hacienda at its Depot Mayfield and other events, Roger Sanchez is renowned as one of the finest DJs / producers to come out of the US.
Shaped by a hip-hop background before House, his first international recognition came with Underground Solution’s “Luv Dancin’” on Strictly Rhythm back in 1990 and he has remained hugely in demand.
One of the few DJ’s to hit the UK Number One spot with the classic “Another Chance”, Roger’s “Release Yourself” weekly radio show, his continually strong output for labels such as Strictly, Defected, and Stealth and his worldwide DJ appearances have kept his reputation in the greatest standing in dance music culture across the world.
There’s very little that can be added to the legend of Todd Terry. A great friend of The Hacienda who has played regularly with FAC51, the New York pioneer remains of the most legendary DJs ever.
Ever prolific in producing his signature material, his vast repertoire sees his classic productions such as Orange Lemon’s “Dream Of Santa Anna”, Black Riot’s “A Day In The Life” and “Just Make That Move” alongside his many remixes and new releases all mixed into his tightly structured sets.
With the hugely talented Americans joined by Graeme Park and DJ Paulette, two absolute mainstays of FAC51, make sure not to miss The Hacienda’s July return to the Albert Hall which is set to be one of the best club events of the year.
