Midland Railway + The Dolly Shakes + Happy Athletic + Horlock on Saturday 15th January 2022

Midland Railway play a form of nerdy folk-punk, influenced by the likes of Weezer, Bright Eyes, and The Smiths.

The Dolly Shakes, playing their first gig since the release of their spectacular Haunted Radio EP.
DIY girl band. We sing songs about Harry Potter and cult TV shows and books and 90s movies. We make noise with guitars and sometimes we play ukuleles.

Happy Athletic - True DIY through necessity. Having moved to Manchester; what started out as a duo song writing project blossomed/dwindled into a solo project. Drawing inspiration predominantly from American indie bands and realising that there’s no time like the present, Glen Marr set about writing and recording songs in his cold room at the top of his house share, having found himself without work for two weeks. Eventually ending up with a modest catalogue of songs. By late 2019 the band had been fleshed out with Matt on bass, George on guitar and Marcin on drums and newer more collaborative songs.

Horlock is a Manchester based pop/alt/synth/rock duo, making their eagerly anticipated stage debut.
Born out of limitations and named after the now demolished Salford University campus accommodation where they met a decade ago, they have crafted a unique sound using drum loops, distorted bass, weird ass synths, delicate singing and spoken word to either enchant listeners or depress their socks off.
