We are so excited to announce we are back with a tremendous line up for the bull breed community.
It’s official Saturday 19th February will be our first show of the year “The Valentines Ball” hosted at our regular venue Bowlers Exhibition Centre.
Tickets, stalls and registration go on sale Friday 7th January on our new Merle Mania website www.merlemania.co.uk
We have added some new classes to the event inviting Cane Corso, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Bull Terrier (AMSTAFF), the English Bull terrier both standard and miniature versions and the South African Boerboel to the ring.
We have made the decision to revert back to our original method for age groups. We are now running all breeds from 3-6 months up to 3+ years, in all classes as we have found that this is the preferred option of our attendees.
Pre-registration is very much recommended to make sure our show can run smoothly so please, please try your best to do this.
You will need to have a show lead to enter the ring for this and future events so please get in touch if you need to purchase one and we can advise you where is best.
Also your show number must be visible upon entering and at all times in the ring.
We are keen to promote a “dress to impress” dress code for all handlers entering the show ring. We would much appreciate your support with this.
We have made the decision that no dogs will be allowed around the show ring at future events so you will need to make arrangements to house your dog(s) if you intend to watch the show and you have brought a dog. This is for health and safety reasons, which will allow people to enter and leave the ring with ease and will cause no distraction to the dogs that are competing.
We offer stall spaces where you can place crates to house your dogs. You are more than welcome to purchase with friends to split the cost of the stall. (Maximum of 4XL crates)
It’s also a nice relaxing space for your dog and yourself as you may know, show days can be quite long and tiring.
As always our canine hydro pool will be set up for all your pooches to take a dip.
Joining us will be some of the UK’s best trainers, teaching all aspects of canine behaviour.
Our junior handlers class will kick start the day along with Phil Campbell’s lead control seminar. This was a massive hit last time and I can honestly say we can all
do with some guidance on the topic.
Also while on the subject we will not be allowing training leads to be used while walking around the venue . We need a tight fitted collar and lead set this is for the safety of the dogs. (This will be checked upon arrival at the door before entering).
We have made amendments since the last show following your feedback and we aim to achieve an improved and better show for our beloved breeds and yourselves. We look forward to seeing you all on the 19th!
