A live art project showcasing collaborative creation and want can be achieved when mixing traditional art mediums with technology. Inspired by the demo and hack scene, collaborative paint jams and hackathons, AVXL live jam aims to translate the DIY ethos, open structure and improvisational, semi-rehearsed approach into the world of audiovisual art. Using recorded samples, audio and visual software, synthesizers and simple recording devices and working with prepared (raw) photos, videos and audio field recordings, the AVXL group will put together a short art project live - in front of the audience so they can witness the process of collaborative creation and view the outcome.
A 15 minute performance follwed by a Q and A session with the artists.
Age Guidance: Suitable for all
Please note: Visual presentation may incorporate flash photography and flickering lights. Audience members with sensitivity to such visual stimuli should take care.
