About

Photographer Jackie Rado will guide you through a practical and hands on photography workshop about getting close to your subject. How to photograph the seasonal flora and fauna that marks this vibrant and colourful time of year. This is the perfect season to capture the proliferation of wildflowers, and insect life such as dragonflies and damselflies.

We’ll look at the essential camera settings required to capture this variety of still and moving subjects. This includes how to achieve your desired focal effect, as well as a range of light and exposure settings. We’ll also explore the importance of perspective, composition and colour harmony relevant to the subject of close up macro photography.

The day will begin with an introduction inside, before heading out into our nature reserve. This workshop is ideal for all levels of photography, and tuition will be tailored to suit individual requirements. Due to small course numbers there will be plenty of time for 1-2-1 tuition.

Please bring your camera with fully charged batteries and formatted memory cards. A standard mid-range zoom lens is ideal and if you have a longer lens as well bring it along.

Time: From 10 am to 4 pm (Duration 6 hrs)

Location: Meeting room

Price: £60 per person, plus paid admission to the Centre. Booking Essential

Please be aware that normal admission charges apply - if you are NOT a WWT member you will need to purchase an online entrance ticket in addition to your event.
