Jessi Norgard W/ Eyes Like The Sky @ The Prince Alfred on Friday 9th November 2018

Jessi is a singer/songwriter from Brighton, now living in Cornwall. We're very happy to have her playing at The Prince Alfred ahead of her EP launch in early 2019. Jessi will be playing alongside Rob Holt tonight, debuting her new tracks and playing some of her older ones.

The mystery and thrill of songwriting is what keeps Jessi returning to music with her notebook and guitar. Her style has been described as 60's folk with a modern edge. Her songs often draw on the natural world and weave visual imagery and fantasy into everyday experiences. Jessi gigs around the UK and Europe with her guitar and when she's lucky her friend and guitarist, Rob Holt. Jessi is influenced, among many, by Leonard Cohen and Martha Tilston.

Eyes Like The Sky

Eyes Like The Sky is the music of one bastard piping on about stuff, junk and whatnot over some Spanish guitar, or filthy CRUNGE - depending on his mood...

Eyes Like The Sky is the music of Southampton born, Hove based, Rob Holt - live with just vocal and guitar but fleshed out on record with drums, bass and all that other good stuff. His songs and instrumentals fire through a myriad of themes; relationships, youth, travelling, observations, animal encounters, and all kinds of other shiitake mushrooms. Honest songs for late nights and early mornings.
