ArtOfTheWild by Perrier-Jouët at The Mandrake on Thursday 18th - Saturday 27th October 2018
On Thursday 11th October, Perrier-Jouët Champagne House will launch #ArtOfTheWild, a
wild garden inspired table installation on the whimsical private terrace of luxury boutique
hotel The Mandrake. The terrace normally closed to the public, features an 18-seater table
where guests will enjoy Perrier-Jouët champagne in an environment of wild and tropical
plants mixed with artistic interpretations of nature.
Following the success of Perrier-Jouët’s interactive Garden Of Wonder at The Principal
Hotel in Manchester, #ArtOfTheWild by Perrier-Jouët at The Mandrake offers an urban
oasis in the heart of Fitzrovia. Drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau and modern artists
such as Luftwerk, the table will be situated on the first-floor terrace that is draped with
hanging passionflowers and jasmine. The wild autumnal garden will transcend the table and
be brought to life with tropical flowers, plants, palm trees and glass spheres interspersed
within, for an immersive and visually impressive experience.
During the day, guests can visit the wild garden for brunch, lunch or floristry classes with
Melissa of JamJar flowers. As the sun sets at The Mandrake, #ArtOfTheWild will host
champagne tastings and paired dinners, hosted by Perrier-Jouët ambassador Jonny Fizz. At
night, the #ArtOfTheWild installation takes on a different dimension combining cool neons,
magical spheres in the garden and Perrier-Jouët’s signature artwork, the Luftwerk Print will
illuminate the internal façade of The Mandrake. A removable cover will shield guests from
the rain and there will also be heaters and blankets for those starry but chilly autumn
