Planetman Live / Bloom de Wilde / DJ Sacha Dieu on Friday 1st June 2018
Formed in summer 2001 and have played at the country's biggest festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, Big Chill, Secret Garden Party, Sunrise Festival, to name a few, it's Planetman LIVE!
“...Global Beats curator Planetman, whose band The Internationalz blend highlife guitars and reggae with earnest folk and brightly soulful vocals. The sounds are varied yet simply catchy; the spirit is infectiously upbeat.” Metro.
'Planetman & The Internationalz prove conclusively that pure groove still has a place in the hearts and souls of man. Planetman is a singer consumed with the passion of his art. He and his band live and breathe for live performance, and their communal spirit echoes throughout their songs – all of which call out in perfect harmony for equality, peace, love and understanding. This is a good-time band who will have any festival crowd up on its feet, shoes kicked off and toes dancing through the fresh green grass.'
Support from the spellbinding Bloom de Wilde -
“The nearest comparison to her would be Bjork, but I doubt that even she would create something as downright bonkers as Animal Spirit. Or downright brilliant for that matter.' - Christopher McBride (Fresh Faves)
London-based songwriter and Sam & The Womp frontwoman Bloom de Wilde has experienced the absolute heights of what the music industry has to offer. With their biggest single topping the U.K Singles charts, the ska band have played some of the worlds largest stages and regularly graced the crowds at Glastonbury and Boomtown Fair.
“Animal Spirit” marks the first outing from the eccentric frontwoman as a solo project. Her sound carries influences from the band project, with a distinct songwriter-element showcasing the artists eclectic passion for music. Influences by everyone from Jeff Buckley and Radiohead to Miles Davis and Drum and Bass - It’s an emotive and powerful fusion of organic and electronic textures, equally suitable for the festival comedown or the hands in the air moments.
