The Joker of Penton Street is now open in Angel as InnBrighton unveil their latest London offering, home to great food, drink and the infamous Oasis ‘Be Here Now Clock’
The pub will focus on cask ale, featuring beers from both local breweries, and InnBrighton’s in house micro brewery Laine Brewery’s own Laine's IPA. The latter seeing four resinous, floral varieties combined to provide a pint with a punch whilst remaining pleasantly balanced against a golden malty backdrop. Cocktails will also be a main feature of the drinks menu, with mixologist Paul de Newtown developing a menu featuring quirky and classic British cocktails.

Food will play an important part of the pub's offering, the open plan kitchen serving delicious fast-service pub classic dishes from 12pm – 10pm seven days a week and playing host exciting pop-up street food concepts from a range of third party operators opening with Tongue ‘n’ Cheek known for their Heartbreaker burger made of 50% ox heart and 50% dry aged beef.

As would expect from a pub called The Joker, there will also be an emphasis on comedy as the non-musical form of entertainment, and the upstairs space will also play host to feature performances from national stand-up talent.

New to the Joker of Penton is their Open Mic night on a Wednesday, which has already attracted a very interesting, talented, eclectic crowd to come perform, with their host Colin Devaney, who plays when the list gets quiet, and loves to back up singers on the fly.

The Joker of Penton Street will also be the new home for an iconic piece of music history: the 10 foot wide wooden clock as featured on the cover of Oasis’s Be Here Now album and tour - a focal point in the bar, making it a mecca for all fans of the band.

The pub is open from noon ‘til midnight seven days a week – with food is served from Midday til 10 pm every day.
