Reviews of The Hale Clinic Ltd in London

The Hale Clinic Ltd venue information

The Hale Clinic was established in 1987 and officially opened by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales in 1988. The Clinic was founded by Teresa Hale whose aim is to combine and integrate the principles of conventional and complementary medicine, on the basis that no one system has the whole answer to every medical problem.

Great emphasis is placed on preventative medicine as a way of maintaining good health generally, and after treatment.

There are over 60 practitioners based at the Hale Clinic in London. Several are medical physicians and many are multi-disciplinary. Of the complementary medical therapies practiced at the clinic, some are over 3,000 years old and others have developed in the last 50 years. Although they differ considerably in the way they treat illness, they all view the practice of complementary medicine as helping the individual organism achieve its natural harmony and balance, thereby making it much less susceptible to illness and disease. The hale clinic specailse in colonic irrigation, colonic hydrotheraphy, periodontal treatment , yoga, homeopathy , infertility treatment , acupuncture, osteopathy, ayurvedic massage, reiki and chinese mediciine, meditation, skincare, Nutrition, Musculoskeletal

The Hale Clinic logo was inspired by the ancient symbol of two interlocking circles called the Vescia Piscis, widely used in the Celtic and early Christian traditions. For the early Christians it represented the fish, and was also used in the sacred geometry of Glastonbury Abbey: it is seen as representing the blending of the masculine and feminine, yin and yang, the coming together of the conscious and unconscious worlds. The symbol’s connection with healing inspired me to adapt it to reflect the philosophy of the Hale Clinic.

The outer circle represents a person searching for wholeness. The two inner circles reflect the interconnection of body and mind. The eye in the middle represents our inner knowledge. The two snakes at the side have been taken from the Greek symbol of the god healing, Asclepius. The lotus on both sides is an Eastern symbol, reflecting the great contribution the oriental tradition has made to complementary medicine. The lotus also symbolizes the fact that although we have our roots in the mire, we can unfold over time to a reflection of serenity.
