Bear Funny Comedy: 4th March on Wednesday 4th March 2020

At this show you will see three acts performing for thirty minutes each seperated by a break to explore our excellent bar, food and facilities at the Finsbury.

On Wednesday 26th Feb, we feature:

ALFIE BROWN: Some comedians feel that they were born to be funny, others (like Alfie) are actually born with funny bones as his mother is an impressionist and his father a comedy songwriter. As someone obessed and highly educated in the Artform that is Comedy, we are fortunate that Alfie is performing today in these strange times. Hi s approach is radical and his fear to take on topics others do not explore is consitantly winning him new fans. A regular at Edinburgh Fringe, Alfie is fresh from his UK Tour that followed a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. See a clip of his NextUp comedy special now!

'Wow! F*ck! Wow!'' ***** (Scotsman)

FIONA ALLEN: You would have seen her on TV, possibly on Emmy award winning Channel 4 sketch Smack the Pony. Comedian, writer and actress Fiona has also been Mock the Week and 8 out of 10 Cats. She has also been in TV shows Skins, Waterloo Road, Coronation Street and the movie 24 Hour Party People, yet this is her first visit to the Finsbury for Bear Funny comedy.

See Fiona in this classic Smack the Pony sketch listed in the top 50 ever!

SARAH CALLAGHAN: Award-winning comedian Sarah Callaghan, fresh from hugely successful tours of Australia and New Zealand, returns to Bear Funny Comedy to test 30 minutes of stand up and powerful poetry about the absurdity, the ridiculousness and beauty of love. What is love, why do octopuses commit suicide, and why the fuck are any of us here? See a snippet of her live set from the excellent Newcastle comedy club, The Stand.

'The instant she steps on stage you know you're in the presence of someone new and special ***** Daily Mirror.
