About

Experience an enchanting evening of classical guitar music in the gentle glow of candlelight, set within the breathtaking surroundings of St Mary Le Strand—a baroque jewel in the heart of London. This intimate venue offers the perfect setting for a recital of warmth, refinement, and lyrical beauty.

Performed by acclaimed guitarist Amanda Cook, this evocative programme showcases some of the most beloved and virtuosic works in the classical guitar repertoire. From the romantic charm of Tárrega’s Capricho Árabe and Recuerdos de la Alhambra to the rich textures of Villa-Lobos’ Five Preludes, each piece explores the guitar’s expressive power and emotional depth. The evening also features the atmospheric Castillos de España by Torroba, and the lyrical elegance of José Broca’s Fantasia.
