This event was sooooo good. Me and the girls had a wicked day.
Only downfall was that we had to remain seated throughout the event so couldn’t stand up or dance and the drinks were seriously expensive.

Bottomless was not good, not enough staff handing out drinks. We ordered an extortionately priced bottle of vodka, got over charged, as did many tables around us. Took ages to come

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST DISABLED PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WITH HIDDEN DISABILITIES. -POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
This venue refused me entry due to having a hidden disability that grants me exemption from wearing a mask. They said unless I have a mask I cannot enter. There is no policies or reasonable adjustments in place for disabled people. I paid for a ticket to the Reggae Brunch event for my friend's birthday. I travelled 45 mins from my home, on the train and was refused entry.

I spoke to the owner Dash amir Capani, the security at the door and the event organisers.

In the end they could not inform me of any policies or guidelines they have in place for disabled people or people with hidden disabilities. THEREFORE REFUSING ME ENTRY DUE TO MY DISABILITY EXEMPTION IS DISCRIMINATION

Government guidance states that “those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this”.

The government has created templates for exemption cards that people who are exempt from wearing face masks can choose to carry if they feel more comfortable having them. I had a hidden disability badge, but the owner insisted I show proof from my GP that I am exempt. I had to go through my emails and show where I purchased my badge as there is no universal sign or official badge. He said my email was not valid and he needed to see "something from my GP" This is NOT OK. I do not and should not have to PROVE my disability to anyone.

On 1 September, health minister Jo Churchill told parliament that the government has been “very clear that there may be people who should be exempt from wearing a covering for a variety of reasons. It is also clear that people do not need to prove it when challenged.”

This is not clear enough and the government need to put in clear guidelines for establishments in relation to disabled people. If they fail to do this more people like myself are going to be discriminated against and excluded from attending any events especially ones we have the right to attend.

If you are thinking of attending Proud Embankment, I strongly recommend that you reconsider. On Saturday 14th of March, I had organised my best friends hen party at Proud embankment with the bride to be's 10 other closest friends and family.

The whole night quite frankly was a living nightmare. As maid of honor, I had organised our whole day down to a fine art to ensure my best friend had a day to remember. Unfortunately, she will be remembering her hen party for all the wrong reasons due to Proud embankment.

We had our table booked for 6:30pm which I was under the impression we would be all seated together as it was made clear with our booking it was a hen party, when we arrived we were quickly rushed inside and asked to take our seats on two separate tables. This was slightly disappointing as we all wanted to be together and there were larger parties than ours on singular tables.

Our food came pretty much as soon as we had sat down, before we had all been given the chance to take off our coats. The food was quite frankly inedible, the vegetarian options turned up cold and luke warm, the curry was more like watery soup and the steak was too fatty to chew. One of the members of the party experienced a quick onset of violent vomiting an hour after her eating her salmon main course. She has since been recommended by her GP to go through the process of applying for a establishment inspection via the food standards agency.

You may think this could be easily blamed on us being a hen party and being drunk, but frankly it was impossible to even get tipsy at Proud that evening as the service was so slow and the bar staff where so bad tempered. The service was on every level unprofessional and poor.

We understood we had the table to a set time and during a break in the performance we would be asked to kindly pay the bill and move up to watch the rest of the show in the viewing room. However we had a waiter rudely interrupt us viewing the show and ask us to pay immediately and move on upstairs, we where not given adequate time to move and it resulted in moving during the performance and missing some of the acts.

To top it all off as if the evening could get no worse, we where then told by the very rude reception staff that there was no room upstairs in the viewing room and there would be no way of us watching the rest of the show... in which we had all paid for!

By this point the bride was close to tears by the way her special evening was going, finally the reception staff found the compassion to move us upstairs to enjoy the rest of the show. We ordered drinks at the bar but ended up waiting 45 minutes for them, the bar staff where all in foul moods, non of them looked like they wanted to be working for Proud and they slammed our drinks one by one on the bar.

Overall, it was quite frankly the worst experience in my life and I wish I could turn back time and never have organised this for my best friends hen party. I am not sure if this is the experience that everyone experiences at Proud as I had researched it and it has quite good reviews, but our evening was a shambles. The staff where hopeless and miserable not to mention unhelpful, the food was inedible and resulting in food poisoning in some of our party members and we then had to miss multiple performances because there was "no room" in the viewing room for the rest of the show and to top it all off having to wait 45 minutes for a drink.

When I emailed to complain about the service and our overall experience, I was met with terrible customer service; the only compensation I was offered was a free return. If you had attended somewhere and had a similar experience to our evening, would you ever return? I don't think so. After emails back and forth, each email becoming more rude than the last, I declined their offer of a free return. I was expecting a refund due to the sheer expense of this place - to be charged £60 service for incredibly rude staff is daylight robbery.

I can say with full confidence that I will never be returning to Proud Embankment.

Bouncers were rude and trying to refuse entry, we almost weren't allowed in with our valid tickets. I recognised one of the performers and asked to speak to the manageress, and she allowed us in, which was kind, she said we were allowed in because it was Christmas, that's nice but we had tickets. The bouncers continued to be quite rude, we are both well educated, successful and polite industry experts. This is not what I expect from a fashion industry party, I'm pleased I didn't bring more people, as we left another fashion event and decided not to bring the models. If you're ever planning on an event over LFW, you had better improve otherwise you'll ruin any reputation you are trying to build. Overall a poor experience that left us shaking our heads.

We got to this event thinking it was a rave but everyone was over 40/50 years of age. Was there an age on this event or does it usually attract older audiences? We didn't see anything on the event advert.

Time was set to be 10pm. We waited in queue until 11.30 pm, in freezing weather, until we decided to go back home. What a disappointment!
